"Long gone are the days of  purchasing properties 'as is' or 'buyer beware' in the Cayman Islands. The actions of today's Cayman property buyers, along with their informed realtors demonstrates that the vast majority of savvy and prudent buyers are wisely including a full home inspection as part of their real estate contract."

Our Outlook

In the United States and Canada, home inspections are the industry norm. Banks often will not even grant a loan without a professional home inspection performed by a licensed home inspector, as it protects their interest in the property.

The Inspection services business is a vital component to the Home buying and selling market. Given the relatively low cost of an inspection, it is a very prudent decision for a potential home buyer or seller to have a property professionally inspected prior to purchase or even when entering into a long-term lease.

As the Cayman Islands continue to grow and evolve, the move toward professional home inspections being conducted prior to a purchase has now arrived. Although documented statistics are not yet available, as of 2017, it is estimated that approximately 75% of the Cayman Islands Realtors now recommend that a professional Home Inspection be conducted prior to purchasing a home.

Long gone are the days of purchasing properties "as is" or "buyer beware" in the Cayman Islands. The actions of  today's Cayman property buyers, along with their informed realtors demonstrates that the vast majority of savvy and prudent buyers are wisely including a full home inpsection as part of their real estate contract. Ultimately, it promotes confidence in the purchase and keeps a proper 'checks and balances' within the home buying process.

By comparison, the U.S. inspects nearly *4.3 million homes per year, demonstrating how vital and valued a component a home inspection is.
